Box Score | Philadelphia, Pa. - (4/22/2017) – Beginning outdoors, in between the nagging rain drops, today's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Semifinal match versus #4 Philadelphia University was eventually finished on a 5-0 final at the Legacy Youth Tennis and Education Center. With the win, the #1 Griffins will advance to the CACC Championship for a fifth consecutive season; there they will meet the victor of this evening's semifinal match between #2 Post University and #3 University of the Sciences (USciences).
 
Doubles play flew by with Chestnut Hill College (14-5) securing the team flights as follows; juniors, Pedro Festugato Regalin (Caxias do Sul, Brazil) and Lucas Bocaletto (Itatiba, Brazil) at number two (8-2), Sophomore Pierre Kohler (Les Sables d'Olonne, France) and senior Jonathan Ducretot (Antibes, France) at number one (8-2), and sophomore Felix Andre (Berlin, Germany) and freshman Antoine Gautier (Eysines, France) at number three (8-1).
 
The Griffins scored their first singles point on the campus courts, before play was moved riverside at Legacy. Ducretot scored that tally with his 6-0, 6-1, win at number three singles. Once at Legacy, Kohler ended the match swiftly, scoring a 6-4, 2-6, 6-1, win to render all the remaining individual matches unfinished.
 
The CACC Men's Tennis Championship match is scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. start tomorrow, Sunday, April 23.
