Eric Gilham (Deptford, N.J.) went 2-for-4 with two runs and two runs-batted-in (RBI) as he hit his first collegiate home run in the seventh inning. Sophomore
Vincent Case (Southampton, Pa.) also homered in the affair. Gilham was one of five Griffins to record a hit in game two as he knocked in one of the Scarlet and Gold runs with a sixth-inning single to left. Senior
Christopher Demey (Phoenixville, Pa.) knocked in the other with a pinch-hit grounder to third base in the fifth inning.
Philadelphia University (18-25) hit Chestnut Hill College (19-16-1) hard in the first game with five runs in the first inning, six in the second inning, three in the third inning, two in the fourth inning, two the fifth, and four in the sixth. Meanwhile, the Scarlet and Gold responded with a run in the third inning and three runs in both the six and seventh innings. Freshman second baseman
Ameir Uzzell (Levittown, Pa.) got things going in the third inning with a one-out single up the middle, a stolen base and hustle to third on an errant throw by the Ram catcher. He scored on the next at-bat; an error at second base off bat of junior shortstop
Alec Craig (Hammonton, N.J.). In the sixth, Gilham led off with a single to left field and eventually scored along with senior left fielder
Christopher Newman (Hammonton, N.J.) on a three-run homer run from Case. In the seventh, it was a beaning of freshman shortstop
Matthew Cummiskey (Warrington, Pa.), Gilham's one-out, two-run home run to left field, and a pair of base hits from Newman and senior third baseman

Pitching dominated the first three innings of game two. The Rams scored first with a two-out, three-run home run in the fourth inning. The Scarlet and Gold got one run back in the fifth inning with a lead-off double to left field from sophomore catcher
Eric Small (Downingtown, Pa.), a Uzzell single up the middle, some good base running, and Demey's grounder to third. And a second run back in the sixth inning with a lead-off double to right field from junior left fielder
Demetrius Isaac (Philadelphia, Pa.) and a Gilham single to right field. Unfortunately, Philadelphia University added an insurance run in sixth inning with a bases-loaded, bunt single.
Chestnut Hill College returns to their Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) schedule tomorrow, Saturday, April 29, when they host Post University in a 12:00 p.m. Senior Day twin bill at Latshaw-McCarthy Field.
