Box Score | Philadelphia, Pa. - (4/18/2018) – Chestnut Hill College made up for a 2-1 doubles deficit with a 5-1 singles run that carried them to today's 6-3 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory at Jefferson. Freshman Jesus Darias (Bolivar, Venezuela) and sophomore Antoine Gautier (Eysines, France) were the only Griffin duo to claim a win in the doubles round, both also earned singles points to help the Scarlet and Gold recover for their third league win of the season.
 
Jefferson (6-10, 1-3) threatened to sweep the team round with wins at number one (8-3) and number three (8-6) doubles, but Darias and Gautier spoiled the Ram sweep with their 8-2 triumph at number two doubles. In the singles play, Jefferson was only to produce a win in the number three flight, 7-5, 3-6, 6-2. Chestnut Hill College (10-7, 3-1) claimed victory in the remaining individual matches as senior Felix Andre (Berlin, Germany) won number one singles, 6-1, 6-3, Darias took number two singles, 6-2, 6-2, Gautier triumphed at number four singles, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3), senior Pedro Festugato Regalin (Caxias do Sul, Brazil) pulled within one win of the Chestnut Hill College men's tennis century club with his 6-1, 2-6, 6-3, win at number five singles, and freshman David Villarroel (Cochabamba, Bolivia) secured the Scarlet and Gold the point at number six singles with his 6-3, 6-3, win.
 
The Chestnut Hill College men's tennis team finishes the 2017-2018 regular season with a 10-7 overall record and a 3-1 league mark. They await tomorrow's CACC Championship Tournament seeding announcement, as the league playoff begins on Saturday, April 21, at Waterbury, Connecticut's Edgewood Bath & Tennis Club.
