Box Score | Waterbury, Conn. - (4/21/2018) – #2 Chestnut Hill College's 8-4 win at number three doubles match led off today's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Semifinal match versus #3 Post University, but it took consecutive wins at number three (6-2, 6-1), number six (6-0, 7-5), number five (6-2, 6-2), and number four (7-5, 6-2) singles for the Scarlet and Gold to defeat the Eagles by a 5-2 spread. Sophomore Adam Gavin (Gothenburg, Sweden) was the only Griffin to contribute to two points as he paired with senior Felix Andre (Berlin, Germany) for the win at number three doubles and secured the point at number six singles.

Andre and Gavin dismissed their Post University (5-11) counterparts by an 8-4 final to give Chestnut Hill College (11-7) an initial 1-0 advantage. But Post University (5-11) was victorious in the remaining doubles flights to take a 2-1 edge into individual play. There, senior Lucas Bocaletto (Itatiba, Brazil) tied the affair, 2-2, with his 6-2, 6-1, number three singles victory before Gavin's individual triumph pushed the Griffins ahead, 3-2. Senior Pedro Festugato Regalin (Caxias do Sul, Brazil) added to the Scarlet and Gold advantage (4-2) with his 6-2, 6-2, win at number five singles and sophomore Antoine Gautier (Eysines, France) provided the clincher with his 7-5, 6-2, win at number four singles (5-2); Regalin's victory was the 100^th of his collegiate career, making him the fifth member of Chestnut Hill College's century club.

The semifinal victory advances Chestnut Hill College to tomorrow's CACC Championship Match, where they will have the opportunity to defend their league crown against #1 Concordia College (NY), who defeated #4 Jefferson by a 5-0 final earlier today.
