Clippers Top Griffins in CACC Final, 5-0, Andre and Regalin Earn All-Tournament Honors

Box Score | Waterbury, Conn. - (4/22/2018) – Seniors, Felix Andre (Berlin, Germany) Pedro Festugato Regalin (Caxias do Sul, Brazil) garnered Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) All-Tournament honors at the conclusion of this afternoon's league championship, where #1 Concordia College (NY) regained control of the title with a 5-0 win. Following a sweep of doubles play, the Clippers earned the win with singles wins in the number five (6-2, 6-4) and number six (6-2, 6-2) individual flights.

Concordia College (15-4) took control of the title bout by winning the doubles flights in order; they scored their first point at number one (8-3), then earned consecutive points in the second (8-4) and third (8-6) individual matches. Chestnut Hill College (11-8) looked to rally in singles play, but Clippers won the bottom two matches to end the final by a 5-0 spread.
 
Like the Clippers, the Chestnut Hill College men's tennis team now awaits seeding in the upcoming National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II East Regional Tournament.
