New Castle, Del. - (11/17/2019) – Seeded in second, Chestnut Hill College defeated host Wilmington University by a 4-2 measure in the first match of today's Bakers best-of-seven bracket competition to repeat as DII/DIII Wildcat Invitational Champions. The Griffins averaged 196.2 pins on the day.
 
Junior Christina Del Vecchio (Warrington, Pa.) and classmate Kristina Scimone (Gibbsboro, N.J.) each filled 11-of-12 frames in this match, while freshman Madeline Gannon (Glenolden, Pa.) filled nine-of-10 frames.

Chestnut Hill College (23-12) defeated New Jersey City University (NJCU) in their second match, 4-0. Junior Laura Oliver (Bayville, N.J.), Del Vecchio, and Scimone each filled eight-of-eight frames. The Griffins shot a great set with 905 over 4 games.

The last match of the day was a great match as the Griffins edged the Wildcats, 4-3. Del Vecchio and junior Lauren Klein (Horsham, Pa.) each filled 12/14 frames. Del Vecchio impressively struck on 11/14 shots! Scimone and Gannon filled 11/14 frames.
