Scarlet and Gold Bests Bears Twice, Scores Seventh Place at Classic

Reading, Pa. - (2/10/2019) – Chestnut Hill College defeated Morgan State University twice in today's bracket play of Kutztown University's Golden Bear Classic, finishing the two-day tournament with a 6-2 record and seventh place standing (7th of 16, 6W-2L, 4,478 pins).
 
Chestnut Hill College (37-33) defeated Morgan State 4-1 in the first of three best-of-seven matches today. Senior Rebeccah Edelman (Oakford, Pa.) and sophomore Laura Oliver (Bayville, N.J.) both filled all 10 frames in the five matches.

Griffins paired off with #11 St. Francis University (PA) in the second match. The Red Flash won 4-0. Sophomore Kristina Scimone (Gibbsboro, N.J.), Edelman, and Oliver all filled six of eight frames.

The Scarlet and Gold rematched Morgan State University to conclude the competition. Again Chestnut Hill College earned a win as they held off the Bears in a 4-3 end. Sophomore Christina Del Vecchio (Warrington, Pa.) was a perfect 10-for-10 on her spares.
