Chestnut Hill College Closes James Brown Invitational with Two More Wins

Towson, Md. - (2/17/2019) – Chestnut Hill College finished Morgan State University's James Brown Invitational 10th in a field of 15 teams thanks to a 2-1 final day. Senior Rebeccah Edelman (Oakford, Pa.) led the Griffins in filled frames, completing 83.3% in addition to a season-high 58.3% strike percentage. Sophomore Christina Del Vecchio (Warrington, Pa.) filled 80.5% of her frames. The Scarlet and Gold were 7-5 for the weekend.
 
Chestnut Hill College (44-38) defeated Felician University in their first bracket match of the day, 4-1. Edelman filled nine-of-10 frames and recorded eight strikes. Del Vecchio also filled nine-of-10 frames.

Edelman and sophomore Kristina Scimone (Gibbsboro, N.J.) both filled 12-of-14 frames in the next match, powering the Griffins to a 4-3 win over their host, Morgan State University.
