Douglassville, Pa. - (2/3/2019) – Sophomore Laura Oliver (Bayville, N.J.) finished sixth overall in frame average with 19.16 pins per frame and earned all-tournament honors with a team high 84% fill frame percentage. Her effort powered Chestnut Hill College to a second place finish (2nd of 8, 2W-6L, 4,525-4,626; 9,151 pins) at Kutztown University's Bowling for a Kure Tournament.
In the first match, Chestnut Hill College (28-29) defeated Daemen University by a 1,047-882 spread. Oliver and sophomore Kristina Scimone (Gibbsboro, N.J.) each filled nine-of-10 frames and the Griffins notched a baker game-high with a 269. Roberts Wesleyan College defeated the Griffins 835-830 in the second match with Oliver again filling nine-of-10 frames. Next, the Scarlet and Gold defeated St Thomas Aquinas College (STAC) by an 898-670 measure thanks to ten full frames from Oliver. St. Francis Brooklyn then defeated the Griffins twice; 936-935 and 938-912.
