Chestnut Hill College tennis players
Tono Franquis and
Tom Pitchley have been named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Tennis Monthly Honor Roll for their performance during the month of October.
Pitchley, a senior, produced a 3-1 overall record during the month, including a perfect 2-0 mark at #1 doubles, earing wins over Jefferson and West Chester. Pitchley's only loss came at #2 singles to Jefferson's Hubert Theriault in a match that was decided via a tiebreaker after both players won a set.
Franquis, a freshman on the Griffins men's tennis team also produced a 3-1 for the month of October with the only loss coming at doubles at Jefferson, while playing at the number three doubles position. He also won both singles matches during the month while playing in the #5 singles slot, defeating Jefferson's Mario Antonio and West Chester's Cesar Morales, allowing him to remain perfect in singles play for the fall (4-0).
The Chestnut Hill college Men's Tennis team returns to action on February 25, 2023 when they host Division I Loyola University (Md.) at the CHC Tennis Courts.
