Howell led the team with six ground balls while Duddy added five.  McCann, Seneca, Chase Snyder (Millsboro, Del.) and Javon Felix (Nyack, N.Y.) had four apiece.  Felix won ten of 11 faceoffs on the afternoon.

D'Youville struck first less than a minute into the game before Spernal tied things up with a Man-Up goal at the 10:44 mark.  McCann added the first of his six goals a minute later to give the Griffins a brief 2-1 lead before the Saints tied it up again.  Chestnut Hill closed out the period with four unanswered goals to lead 6-2 heading into the second quarter.

Kelly opened the scoring in the second quarter with his second goal of the game and D'Youville answered less than a minute later, making the score 7-3.  The Griffins offense then took control, outscoring D'Youville 11-0 over the last 11:45 of the period to lead 18-3 at the half.  McCann had four of the 11 goals while Kelly added three more in addition to his opening goal of the period.  Smith scored both his goals in the offensive onslaught, including a man-up shot in the final minute.
