Liam McCann added two as the Chestnut Hill College Men's Lacrosse team defeated Dominican College 10-4 Wednesday night at Victory Field in Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania.

The Griffins improve to 6-05 overall and 2-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference games. Dominican falls to 5-4 overall and 2-1 in league play.

Kelly (Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta) added two assists to go along with his four goals to finish with six points on the night while
McCann (Edmonton, Alberta) finished with three points. McCann and
Kyle Gartenmeyer (Holland, Pa.) led the team with four ground balls apiece. Gartenmeyer also caused six turnovers on the night.

Austin Jones (Courtice, Ontario) was superb in goal, allowing just four goals to lower his league leading goals against average to 8.60 per game. The junior netminder also had a season-high 18 saves on the night.Â

McCann scored the only goal of the first quarter, taking a pass from Kelly while the team was a man-up at the 2:59 mark of the period.  Kelly's first goal of the game was also a man-up score, coming just 28 seconds into the second quarter. Â

Kelly and McCann added a goal apiece and
J.R. Howell (East Meadow, N.Y.) scored the final goal of the second quarter on an assist from McCann to give the Griffins a 5-0 lead at the half.

Chase Snyder (Millsboro, Del.)  notched his second goal of the season just 18 seconds into the third quarter to push the Griffins lead to 6-0 before the Chargers got on the board with at the 13:10 mark. Both teams exchanged goals before the period came to a close with the Griffins leading 7-2.

Chestnut Hill scored three unanswered goals to open the fourth quarter to take a 10-2 lead.Â
Mike Smith (Center Valley, Pa.) opened the scoring at the 11:29 mark taking a pass from Howell for his 16
th goal of the season.Â
Zachary Whalen (Emmaus, Pa.)  followed less than a minute later as Kelly assisted on his goal at 10:32. Kelly scored his fourth and final goal of the game 50 seconds later, pushing the lead to 10-2. Dominican rounded out the scoring with two goals in the final eight minutes but would come no closer as the Griffins won their second straight CACC contest 10-4.
