Three members of the Chestnut Hill College Women's Track and Field Team were named to the 2022 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference in an announcement by the conference office on Friday.
Juniors
Lilly Short (Honey Brook, Pa.), Julia Reese (St. Albans, N.Y.) and
Charlize Rios (Philadelphia, Pa.) Â Â are repeat honorees among the 49 athletes selected from the 13 conference schools.
In order to be eligible for the CACC All-Academic Teams, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, must have been a student-athlete at their current school for at least two semesters, and must have achieved a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher through the preceding semester.
Short, Reese and Rios were all  2022 inductees into Chi Alpha Sigma, the National Student Athlete Honor Society. Reese and Rios are five-time Dean's List and Chestnut Hill Athletic Academic Honor Roll rosters. Short has appeared on the school's Dean's list and Athletic Academic Honor rolls three times over the course of her career as a Chestnut Hill student-athlete.
The CACC began honoring all-academic teams for women's track and field in 2014. Since that time, ten Chestnut Hill women's track and field athletes have earned CACC All-Academic honors a total of 22 times. Four athletes have been three-time honorees while an additional four, including Short, Reese and Rios have earned all-academic accolades twice.
