Four runners finished in the top 20 as the Chestnut Hill College women's Cross country team cruised to a third place finish at the Dan Talbot Open at Rosetree Park in Media, Pennsylvania Friday afternoon.
The Griffins finished with 90 points, trailing second place Goldey-Beacom college by just ten points. Host Bryn Mawr College won the meet with 52 points.
Leading the way for the Griffins was junior
Sydney Watts. Watts completed the 6,000-meter course in 26:22.38, placing fourth overall. Sophomore
Gabby Hassler was the next Chestnut Hill runner to finish, completing the race in 26:56.85 in eighth place out of 74 finishers.

Rebecca Dalton placed 15
th overall with a time of 28:22.34 while junior
Aubrey Elias was right behind her in 19
th place with a time of 28:34.10. Freshman
Deanna Otero rounded out the Griffin finishers with a time of 36:30.10.
The Chestnut Hill College Women's Cross Country team returns to action on Saturday, October 7, 2023 when they will race at the Jack St. Clair Invitational at historic Belmont Plateau.
