Braden Berkey won his first cross country race as a member of the Chestnut Hill college Men's cross country team as the Griffins competed at the Penn State- Brandywine Invitational on Saturday in Media, Pennsylvania.
Berkey completed the 8,000 meter course in 30:20.01 to finish 15 seconds ahead of his nearest competitor Brayden Fosty of Delaware Tech. The win was Berkey's first since winning region XX/WPCC Championship as a member of the Community College of Baltimore-Essex cross country team  in 2021.
Ryan O'Hara placed 11th overall with a time of 33:37.94. Rudy del Prete rounded out the Griffins competitors with a personal best time of 36:59.68, placing 24th overall.
The men's cross country team returns to action on Saturday October 19 for the Rowan border Battle, the team's final tune-up before the Central Atlantic Collegiate conference championship meet on Sunday October 27
