A school record relay performance highlighted the Chestnut Hill College Men's Track and Field team's performance as they competed at the Scarlet Knight Invitational on February 2-3, 2024, at the Armory in New York City, New York.
Competing in the 4x200 relay on Friday, the Griffins' relay team of
Bryce Hunter, Emmanuel Preston, Elijah Williams, and
Tyheem Bailey raced to a seventh place finish with a time 1:35.56. Their time betters the old mark of 1:39.54 set back in 2018 at the Frank Colden Invitational.
Preston also ran a personal best time of 23:20 in the 200 meter dash on Saturday.and took home a seventh place finish in the unseeded 60 meter dash with a time of 7.24 seconds. Hunter and Bailey placed 19
th and 25
th respectively in the unseeded 60 meter dash event with times of 7.40 and 7.58 seconds respectively. Bailey also ran 25.25 in the 200 meter dash.
Cole Stanchina rounded out the Griffins' competitors running in the 3,000 meter race and finishing with a time of 9:06.22.
The Men's Track and Field team returns to action at the Garden State Games at Ocean Breeze in Staten Island, New York on February 16, 2024.
