The Chestnut Hill College Golf Team concluded their competition at the WCU Battlefield classic at the Links at Gettysburg on Tuesday, finishing in sixth place.
The Griffins produced a team score of 314 in the second round and along with their first round score of 305, finished with a score of 619, 24 strokes behind first place Goldey-Beacom college (595) and just four strokes behind fifth place Jefferson University (615)
Senior P.J. Schulte had the best round of the day among the Griffin golfers, shooting a two-over 74 to finish with a 153 score in the event, tying for 16th place overall.   Chase Forsyth finished seven-over par for the day with a score of 79 and a 154 for the tournament, finishing in 19th place, one stroke behind Schulte
Rogelio Gerena fired a score of 80 on the afternoon to finish two strokes behind Schulte with a score of 155 (22nd place). Hugo Almeida struggled on Tuesday with an 84 to finish the tournament with a score of 160 while Jack Bulman finished the tournament with a score of 163 (82, 81).
The men's golf team returns to action on September 16th when they compete at the Weyhill Classic, hosted by Moravian university at Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
