The Chestnut Hill College Men's Golf team opened play at the Jefferson University Spring Invitational at the Jeffersonville golf Club Thursday morning recording a first round team score of 320.
The Griffins' 320 score puts them in fourth place heading into Friday's final round, 12 strokes behind third place Jefferson University and 16 strokes behind Dominican University, who led the field with a 304 score.
Rogelio Gerena led the Griffins with a low round score of 77 to sit in ninth place among the 31 golfers competing. P.J. Schulte sits in 13th place with a score of 80 in the opening round.
Hugo Almeida and Chase Forsyth followed with scores of 81 and 82 respectively. Kiefer Sharman rounded out the Griffins top five with a score of 88.
The griffins return to Jeffersonville Golf Club for the final round of the Jefferson spring Invitational on Friday, March 21, 2025. Tee time is 8:00 a.m.
