The Chestnut Hill College Golf team concluded their competition at the Jefferson University spring Invitational on Friday, recording a final round of 350 to finish the two day tournament with a score of 670.
The Griffins' 670 score placed them in fifth place among the five teams competing, nine strokes behind fourth place Felician University. Goldey-Beacom College won the event with a team score of 644.
Individually, Chase Forsyth led the Griffins, firing a round of 80 on the second day to finish with a two round total of 162 and finish in a tie for seventh place – a jump of 13 places after his first round of 82.
Hugo Almeida fired a round of 86 on Friday to finish with a two-day total of 167 and a 13th place finish. P.J. Schulte finished four strokes behind Almeida with a score of 171, placing 18th overall.
Rounding out the Griffins top five golfers were Rogelio Gerena and Kiefer Sharman. Gerena finished the tournament with a score of 174 while Sharman finished with a two-day score of 181 and in 27th place.
The men's golf team returns to action on April 7-8, 2025, when they compete at the Dr. Edwin b. Cottrell spring Invitational hosted by West Chester University at Penn Oaks Golf Club.
