Senior relief pitcher Colby Seelig has earned a third all region honor as the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) announced the 2025 ABCA/Rawlings All-East Region teams Wednesday afternoon.
Seelig was named as a second team honoree in voting done by the association's East Region members. He previous was selected as a first team honoree by the National Collegaite Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and a second team honoree by the D2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) which is voted on by the region athletic communication directors.
The senior reliever becomes the sixth player in program history to earn all-region status for all three organizations. This feat was last accomplished by Andrew Dietz in 2022.
Seelig turned in a solid season for the Griffins in 2025, leading the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference in saves with eight which also tied him for the most in the east region this season. His 3.12 earned run average is the best among all east region relievers and sixth among all pitchers (starters and relievers) in the region.
In his 23 appearances this season, Seelig held batters to a .257 average the best among CACC relievers and ranked second in the CACC with a 1.23 WHIP and fourth with a 3.75 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Recording 53 strikeouts on the season, Seelig ranked third on the team. His five wins ranked second on the team.
In his eight saves and five wins (13 appearances), Seelig recorded an earned run average of 1.36 in 33 innings pitched.
