The Chestnut Hill College Women's Cross Country team opened their 2025 campaign, competing at the Lebanon Valley College (LVC) Flying Dutchman Invitational Saturday morning at the Union Canal Tunnel Park in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
The women's team had three runners competing in the event led by senior Gabby Hassler. Hassler completed the 5,000-meter course in 22:53.60 to finish in 102nd place among the nearly 200 competitors in the race.
Soleil Casseus and Gesielyz Sanchez made their Griffin cross country debut at the race. Casseus finished with a time of 26:30.40 while Sanchez recorded a time of 33:01.00
The women's cross country team returns to action on Saturday, September 13, 2025, when they compete in the Cougar Classic, hosted by Misericordia College in Dallas, Pennsylvania. Race time is scheduled for 10:15 a.m.
