Chestnut Hill College Baseball second baseman Nicholas Shiffler was named to the 2026 American Baseball Coaches Association East Region All-Defensive Team in an announcement made by the organization on Thursday.
Shiffler becomes the second Chestnut Hill College player to earn East Region all-defensive team honors, joining Jake Schweiker who was named as a pitcher last season.
In 44 games this season, Â Shiffler fielded 188 chances at second base, Â recording 89 putouts and 94 assists while committing just five errors on the season for a fielding percentage of .973. He helped turn 26 double plays on the season, second highest total on the team.
Career-wise Shiffler has a fielding percentage of .941 with 14 errors in 236 chances.
The Chestnut Hill College baseball team finished the 2026 season with a 23-22 record before falling in the first round of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference playoffs.
