Griffins Place Three Athletes on the 2026 CACC Baseball All-Academic Team

Three members of the Chestnut Hill College Baseball team have been named to the 2026 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Baseball All-Academic Team in an announcement made by the conference office.

Named to this year's All-Academic team were senior Michael Melosky and juniors Michael Pascoe and Wyatt Spinks.   Melosky is a three-time honoree while Pascoe and Spinks are two-time honorees. The three were among 51 student athletes from all 12  member institutions that sponsored baseball in 2026 to earn all-academic team status

To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must possess a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and be in his/her second year at his/her current institution. New for 2025-26, honorees must also either compete in at least two-thirds of their team's games or start at least half. Pitchers must either appear in at least 10 games or pitch at least 30 innings.

Melosky, a cybersecurity major, is a two-time D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award honoree and was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the national college athlete honor society in the spring of 2025.  He has also earned CACC Academic honor Roll accolades in every semester since the honor was instituted in Fall of 2023.

A dual major in Early education and special education, Spinks earned D2 Athletic Director's Association Academic Achievement Award honors in 2025.  He was  inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma last month and has been named to the CACC Academic Honor Roll in each of the past five semesters.

An accounting major, Pascoe was also inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma last month and has also earned D2ADA Academic Achievement Award honors in 2025. He has been named to the CACC Academic Honor roll in each of the past five semesters.

Since joining the CACC for the 2008 season, 47 Chestnut Hill College baseball players have been named to CACC Softball All-Academic team a total of 86 times.  Thirteen of the 47, including Melosky,  have earned All-Academic honors three times during their career with an additional 13 players, including Pascoe and Spinks earning the honor twice.
