Three members of the Chestnut Hill College Women's Tennis team have been named to the 2025-26 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Women's Tennis All-Academic Team in an announcement made by the conference office.
Named to this year's All-Academic team were senior Claudia Rasilla Romero and juniors Elena Arenas Guisasola and Lilian Bandel  Rasilla Romero is a three-time honoree while Arenas Guisasola and Bandel earns all-academic status for the second time. The three were among 15 student athletes from five of the six member institutions that sponsored women's tennis in 2025-26 to earn all-academic team status
To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must possess a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, and be in his/her second year at his/her current institution. New for 2025-26, honorees must also be in the lineup for two-thirds of their team's days of competition.
The three honorees are all members of Chi Alpha Sigma, the national college athlete honor society with Bandel and Arenas Guisasola inducted in May of this year and Rasilla Romero in 2025. The trio have also earned ITA Scholar athlete honors in each of their seasons at Chestnut Hill.
Rasilla is a business administration and management major.  She recently graduated summa cum laude with  the highest female g.p.a. among all graduating female student athletes.   She also received the President's Award for Academic Achievement  at the college's commencement ceremony in May. In addition to being inducted into Chi Alpha sigma, she was also inducted into Sigma Beta Delta business honor society in 2025. Rasilla Romero  is a two-time D2 Athletic Director's Association Academic Achievement Award Winner and has been named to the CACC Academic honor roll five times while earning Dean's List honors at Chestnut Hill in every semester.  Â
Bandel is also a business administration and management major. She was inducted into Sigma Beta Delta, the National Business Honor Society in April and earned CACC All-Academic Team honors last season. Bandel has earned Dean's List and CACC Academic Honor roll in every semester while attending Chestnut Hill.
Arenas  Guisasola has also earned Dean's List and CACC Academic Honor roll in every semester while attending Chestnut Hill  and is majoring in biology.  She was named to the CACC all-Academic Team for 2024-25 and was a D2ADA Academic achievement Award Winner that same year.
Since joining the CACC for the 2008 season, 25 Chestnut Hill College women's tennis players have been named to CACC Women's Tennis All-Academic team a total of 51 times. Rasilla Romero becomes the tenth women's tennis player in program history to earn all-academic team status three times during their career. , Arenas Guisasola and Bandel are among six women's tennis players in program history earning the honor twice.Â
