Kansas City, Mo. - (10/4/2018) – One of 484, the Chestnut Hill College women's soccer team continued a proud tradition today, Thursday, October 4, as the United Soccer Coaches (USC) recognized the Griffins with a
2017-2018 Team Academic Award (

The honor –which was the Scarlet and Gold's third straight and seventh in the last nine seasons – is presented annually to high school and collegiate soccer teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full school year. The Team Academic Award recipients are active members of the United Soccer Coaches College Services Program with a composite GPA of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster.
The 2017-2018 Chestnut Hill College women's soccer team earned a 3.41 GPA in the fall of 2017 and a 3.27 GPA in the spring of 2018 for a combined 3.33 GPA. Coach Dickson's squad placed nine student-athletes on the 2017 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Soccer All-Academic Team. Moreover, eight were inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma – the student-athlete honor society, nine earned Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Awards, 10 were recognized on the Chestnut Hill College Athletics Spring 2018 Academic Honor Roll, and 11 were honored on the Chestnut Hill College Athletics Fall 2016 Academic Honor Roll. The Chestnut Hill College women's soccer program has provided the College's top female senior student-athlete GPA for six seasons of the last seven seasons;
