A model of consistency, Raia has served as the ace of the Griffin pitching staff for the last three years. The right-hander owns a litany of program records, including wins (25), shutouts (3), strikeouts (252), games started (42), innings pitched (274), and complete games (7). Raia threw the program's first no-hitter in a the second game of a doubleheader at then-Caldwell College on April 20, 2013, after which he was named the D2BaseballNews.com National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II Pitcher of the Week. A three-time All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) performer, Raia was named the team's MVP for the second straight year in 2015 after leading the Griffins through a grueling CACC Championship Tournament and setting program marks for wins (9-1), strikeouts (99), and earned run average (1.79). Earning the team Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, a Daktronics/Division II CAA NCAA Baseball East All-Region First Team selection and a NCBWA All-East Region First Team honor, the CACC Baseball 2015 Pitcher of the Year (All-CACC First Team) produced the most dominant Chestnut Hill College pitching campaign ever in his senior season. Leading the CACC in wins, strikeouts, and ERA, Raia was a two-time Pitcher of the Week (2/23 and 4/28), while twirling a one-hitter against Post University (4/25), a two-hitter with 12 punchouts against Molloy College (2/20), and registered five outings of ten strikeouts or more over a dozen starts.
