Wamulume Warrants CACC Honorable Mention
                                                                                                                                         
New Haven, CT – (9/12/2011) – Sophomore midfielder Mushe Wamulume (Media, PA) scored his first goal of the season in a 1-0 win over Nyack College on Saturday, September 10. The win over the Warriors was the Griffins first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory and their second overall win of the season. For his efforts, Wamulume was recognized with an honorable mention among the CACC weekly ward winners.
 
Wamulume scored just 3:50 after the opening kickoff on an unassisted effort, before helping Chestnut Hill College (2-0-1) to the victory over Nyack College. The Warriors shot the ball with ferocity, but it was nothing that junior goalkeeper Mike Goldstein (Pennsauken, NJ) and the Griffins defense could not handle as the Chestnut Hill College has held their opponents scoreless for the first, 290 minutes of the season. Wamulume is tied for the team lead in points (2) and goals (1).
 
The men’s soccer team remains home to host St. Thomas Aquinas College in a 6:30 p.m. contest on Tuesday, September 13.
