Wilmington University recovered with two more insurance tallies to reestablish the five-goal difference, 14-9, with ten minutes to go. Carley Glass then sparked the Griffin rally. She first found her sister, senior attack Maryanne Glass (Swedesboro, NJ) to make it 14-10 with 9:22 remaining. She then added her seventh (7:19) and eighth (1:53) goals of the contest, before locating freshman midfielder Emily Goode (Ellicottville, NY) for a goal with 1:14 left. Unfortunately, the Griffins would not get a chance at the tie before the final horn.

Guethler led the Wildcats offensively with four goals and an assist. She also collected a ground ball, a draw, and a caused turnover. Defensively, sophomore midfielder Klaudia Furman (Baltimore, MD) caused five turnovers, while senior goalkeeper Amber Smith (Aberdeen, MD) earned the win with nine saves.

Eight goals and two assists totaled ten points for Carley Glass, who also hustled to six ground balls and eight draws while causing three turnovers. Maryanne Glass added three goals and an assist. She also collected a ground ball, four draws, and a caused turnover. Goode and sophomore attack Kelly McKay (Perkasie, PA) accounted for the other Griffin goals, McKay also provided an assist.
