Seven members of the Chestnut Hill College Women's Lacrosse Team were named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association's 2026 IWLCA Academic Honor Roll in an announcement by the organization.
Named to the academic honor roll were graduate students Mel Amador, Dyllen Andrews and Elizabeth Deal; senior Angel'Lique Lockhart; and juniors Elena Arenas Guisasola, Nicole George and Maya Zullo. Lockhart is receiving the honor for the third time.
In addition the Griffins Women's Lacrosse team was among the 58 NCAA Division II schools that were selected as a 2026 IWLCA Academic Honor Squad. To qualify for this honor the team must have posted a 3.2 team g.p.a. for the academic year. The Griffins had a team g.p.a. of 3.674 for the 2025-26 academic year.
Chestnut Hill is also one of four teams from the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference to earn the honor this season. This year's accolades also mark the fourth consecutive year and the seventh time overall that the Griffins have earned IWLCA Academic Honor Squad status having earned the award the past three seasons and for three straight years from 2017-2019.
The Griffins' Academic honor Roll recipients must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. The seven Griffins were among the 568 total Division II athletes honored.
Amador, a 2023 graduate from Chestnut Hill and Deal, a 2025 Chestnut Hill graduate are both pursuing a master's in business administration degree with a concentration in strategic management. Deal has earned Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Academic honor Roll accolades in each of the past six semesters while Amador has earned CACC Academic honor Roll accolades in each of the last two.
Andrews, a graduate from Cottey College in California, is pursuing hers master's degree in clinical and counseling psychology. She has earned CACC Academic honor Roll status in each of her two semesters at Chestnut Hill.
Lockhart sports a dual major of forensic biology and psychology. Early last month, she was one of six Chestnut Hill student athletes named as an Arthur Ashe Sports Scholar. Lockhart was selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® women's At-Large team for 2024-25 and is also a two-time D2 Athletic Director's Association (D2ADA) Academic achievement Award winner. She was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the national college athlete honor society in 2025. Lockhart is also a three-time CACC Women's Lacrosse All-Academic Team honoree and was named to the CACC Academic Honor roll in each of the last six semesters.
Zullo was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Women's At Large team for 2025-26 and most recently named to the CACC women's Lacrosse All-Academic Team. She was also inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma in May of this year. An early education major, Zullo has been named to the CACC Academic Honor Roll every semester at Chestnut Hill.
George, a criminal justice major, was also named to the CACC women's Lacrosse all-Academic team for this season and has earned CACC Academic Honor Roll status in every semester. She has earned Dean's List and CHC Athletic Academic Honor Roll accolades multiple times in her three seasons at Chestnut Hill.
A two-sport athlete, Arenas Guisasola has earned CSC Academic All-District® honors as a member of the women's tennis team and is a two-time CACC All Academic Team honoree for tennis. A biology major, Arenas Guisasola has been named to the CACC Academic Honor Roll and has earned Dean's List status in every semester while at Chestnut Hill.
The Griffins' women's lacrosse team is now the eighth Chestnut Hill team to earn an all-Academic Team Award from their respective sports association for the 2025-26 academic year, joining the women's volleyball team (AVCA); the women's track and field team (USTFCCCA); men's and women's tennis teams (ITA); the men's lacrosse Team (USILA); the men's basketball team (NABC) and the women's bowling team (NTCA).
