The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) unveiled its 2025-26 CACC Team Academic Award winners on Tuesday as eight schools combined to take home the 16 honors for the 2025-26 academic year.

Chestnut Hill College took home one of these honors as their women's lacrosse program was awarded the CACC Team Academic Award.  This year's honors mark the first time the women's lacrosse program has earned the honor since the award was instituted after the 2018-19 season.  The women's lacrosse program is the fifth Chestnut Hill program to earn a CACC Team Academic Award in the eight years of awards existence.

The announcement was made by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara. The school with the highest team grade point average in each of the league's 16 championship sports during the 2025-26 campaign was crowned the Team Academic Award winner for that specific sport. Teams must have met NCAA sport sponsorship minimum standards to be eligible to earn the academic awards.

The women's lacrosse team topped all other conference lacrosse programs with a 3.67 team g.p.a. for the 2025-26 academic year.  The Griffins, under the leadership of head coach Liz Martin,  will place four of their players on the CACC All-Academic team which will be announced later this week and will have several upperclassman earn IWLCA Academic Honor roll when that team is announced in July.

The Griffins' women's tennis team had the highest team g.p.a. among all the Chestnut Hill college programs at 3.92, ranking second in the league behind Post University (3.95).  The women's soccer team's g.p.a. of 3.63 was also the second highest in the league behind Jefferson University (3.69).  The women's cross country team (3.59), men's basketball team (3.33) and softball team (3.61) each recorded the third highest team g.p.a. among their respective sports.

In total, 13 of the 14 Chestnut Hill College athletic teams with the CACC that met NCAA sport sponsorship requirements earned a team g.p.a. of 3.0 or better for the academic year, the second most by a CACC institution behind Jefferson  and Holy Family University who had 14 teams with a 3.0 g.p.a. respectively.
