Three Chestnut Hill College student-athletes have been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team in an announcement made by the organization and the CSC Academic All-America® committee.
Named to this year's women's at-large academic all-district team were senior Victoria Forbes from the women's bowling team, junior Maya Zullo from the women's lacrosse team and sophomore Kendall Gayton from the women's lacrosse team. All three athletes are first time honorees.
To be eligible for Academic All-District® accolades, student-athletes must be at least at sophomore athletically and academically, appear in 90 percent of their team's contests or start in 66% and have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better. Graduate students must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA in both their undergraduate and graduate programs.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field or court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes Women's At-Large honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA. At-large honorees represent sports that the CSC Academic All-America® program does not honor with their own separate team.
Forbes was the Griffins' leading bowler last season, averaging 16.82 pins/frame in traditional match play and 16.57 pins/frame in baker format play. She recorded 185 strikes in 601 frames played.
A human services major, Forbes was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma, the national college athlete honor society last month and has earned Dean's List and Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Academic Honor Roll accolades in every semester while at Chestnut Hill.
Zullo was also inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma last month. An early education major, Zullo has been named to the CACC Academic Honor Roll is each of her semesters at Chestnut Hill.
The junior defender appeared in 14 of the Griffins 15 games last season, recording nine ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Gayton scored 20 goals for the Griffins this season as she helped lead the team to their first playoff berth in seven seasons. She was second on the team winning 26 draw controls. She had a season high five goals against Holy Family University this season.
An exercise science major, Gayton has earned Dean's List and CACC Academic Honor
Roll accolades in each of her first four semesters at Chestnut Hill.
Academic All-District® honorees are reviewed by a group of Academic All-America® committee members for consideration for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® national ballot, where first, second and third team Academic All-America® honorees are chosen by the CSC Division II membership and the Academic All-America® core committee. Honorees will be announced in early July.
