She scored the first, three goals of the affair, totaled five tallies by halftime, forced overtime, and finished the Tigers off with the final two goals of the overtime period.
Covella was everything for Chestnut Hill College (2-3, 1-1). As the second-half clock wound down sophomore midfielder Lindsay Alexander (Huntingdon Valley, PA) forced a Holy Family University (2-4, 1-1) turnover, recovered the ground ball, and located Covella who beat the Tigers down the field to tie the contest, 12-12, with 24 seconds remaining. Alexander scored the first goal of overtime with 3:51 remaining in the frame, 13-12, but the Tigers evened the contest just thirty seconds later (3:21) on a strike from junior attack Lauren Greco (Richboro, PA), 13-13. The Griffins soon wised up, controlling their possession for a final strike. Covella came through by converting a free position opportunity with 1:46 to play, 14-13. She then added the exclamation point with another scoring shot at the final second (0:01).
