Parapouras and Oechsle got their doubles win with the most ease of any Chestnut Hill College (8-2, 6-2) team as they claimed number two doubles by an 8-2 final. The Griffins left doubles play with a 3-0 led thanks to senior
Anastasiya Shcherbakova (Belarus, Minsk) and junior
Kelly Dennis (Cincinnati, Ohio) combining for an 8-5 win at number one doubles while freshmen
Axe Owens (Trenton, N.J.) and
Iman Williams-Mulesa (Pickering, Ontario) won number three doubles 9-7.
Dennis was the first Griffin to win an individual match as she triumphed at number two singles 6-2, 6-0. Parapouras and Oechsle both won their singles match 6-2, 6-2, to take care of the number three and number four flight, while Owens was the winner at number five singles 6-0, 6-1. Shcherbakova was leading number one singles 7-5, 5-0 before the darkness settled in. Freshman
