Chestnut Hill College (2-3) worked a seven-point halftime edge, 40-33, to a 15-point advantage, 73-58, with DiRugeris driving the offense. He hit 5-of-6 (83.3%) three-point attempts, a layup, and two free throws to total 19 points at halftime. For the time-being, it was enough to overshadow 12 first-half turnovers and a double-double, ten points and 12 rebounds, from Jordan. In the final seven minutes, the trio of Jordan, freshman guard Wes Lyons (Millville, Pa.), and junior guard Lorenzo Christmas (Norristown, Pa.) fought tooth-and-nail to bring Bloomsburg University (2-1) even, 79-79, with 0:30 seconds left to play. The Griffins missed their last chance in regulation, but grabbed an 83-81 lead with 3:28 to play in overtime behind the paint play of sophomore center

Francis Ashe (Hyattsville, Md.). Ashe made the Griffins lead three, 84-81, with 3:12 in the extra period, but the Huskies scored the next two buckets to lead by two, 86-84, with 1:27 to go. The Griffins went back to the well with Ashe and Radtke working the floor for a game-tying layup, 86-86, with only 0:11 seconds left. Unfortunately, the Huskies had the same gameplan, keeping the ball in Jordan's hands for the game-winner, 88-86 (0:01.7).
Jordan grabbed seven off his 20 rebounds on the offensive glass and he added three steals and a block to his pivotal post play. Lyons also finished with a double-double, contributing 19 points, ten rebounds, a block, and four steals to the Huskies win. Christmas recorded 16 points and eight rebounds, while freshman guard Charles Haigler (Charles Town, W.V.) and Nnamda Njoku (Westhampton, N.J.) each chipped in 11 points.
DiRugeris was nearly unstoppable, hitting 9-of-10 (90.0%) from the field, which included a career-best 8-of-9 (88.9%) shooting performance from three-point range, and a 5-of-5 (100.0%) effort from the free throw line. He also grabbed four rebounds. Radtke finished in double figures for the second straight game with 18 points in addition to his nine rebounds. Saintilus offered 12 points, seven rebounds, and three steals to the Griffin effort, which also received quality contributions from Ashe and sophomore guard
Luke Dickson (Pitman, N.J.). Ashe provided seven points and seven assists while Dickson was the fourth Griffin in double digits; he scored ten points.
The men's basketball team returns home to Sorgenti Arena on Wednesday, November 28, when they host the New York Institute of Technology in their 5:30 p.m. home opener.
