Two members of the Chestnut Hill College Men's Basketball team have been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Men's Basketball team in an announcement made by the organization and the CSC Academic All-America® committee.

Named to the team were seniors Alejandro Redondo Cybak and Landon Shivers.  The two players are earning Academic All-District ® honors for the second consecutive year.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field or court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

To be eligible for Academic All-District® accolades, student-athletes must be at least at sophomore athletically and academically, appear in 90 percent of their team's contests or start in 66% and have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better. Graduate students must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA in both their undergraduate and graduate programs.

Academic All-District® honorees are reviewed by a group of Academic All-America® committee members for consideration for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® national ballot, where first, second and third team Academic All-America® honorees are chosen by the CSC Division II membership and the Academic All-America® core committee.  Cybak was among those academic all-district honorees to advance to the national ballot. Honorees will be announced in mid-April.

Cybak, a senior post player and a computer science major, led the team in scoring, rebounding and steals this season, averaging 14.7 points and 9.0 rebuonds per game while recording 22 steals on the season.  He led the CACC with 11 double-doubles on the season and earned all CACC honors for the second consecutive year.  In February, Cybak became just the 11th player in program history to score 1,000 career points in a Griffins uniform, finishing his career with 1,058 ( ninth all-time). Cybak has earned Dean's List honors in every semester at Chestnut Hill and was named to the CACC Academic Honor Roll in each of the last five semesters.

Shivers, a business administration and management major, joined the Griffins in 2024 after playing two seasons at Caldwell University. He has appeared in 27 games this season and led the team with 31 blocks. He earned Dean's List honors and earned CACC Academic Honor Roll status in every semester while at Chestnut Hill..
