Lafayette Hill, PA – (3/22/2012) – After a closely played opening half, Kutztown University gained the edge after intermission by scoring the first six goals of the second half en route to a 12-4 victory over Chestnut Hill College. Junior midfielder

Erica Eaby (Lancaster, PA) netted the home team's last goal with 11:15 remaining in the contest.
Kutztown University (3-2) forced a turnover after Chestnut Hill College (0-4) controlled the opening draw and at 28:48 the Golden Bears were on the scoreboard with an unassisted tally from sophomore attack Lauren Schlitt (Baldwin, NY), 1-0. They scored another at 27:09, to lead 2-0 before the Griffins responded with back-to-back goals free position goals from Timony. The first came at 24:47, 2-1, to narrow the Golden Bear lead and the second came at 8:29, 2-2, after the Griffins subdued the Golden Bears early momentum. Unfortunately, the Golden Bears scored twice more before halftime to hold a 4-2 advantage at the break. After intermission, senior attack Megan Schwar (Alpha, NJ) galvanized the Golden Bears and contributed two goals and an assist in a 6-0 run, 10-2. Timony stopped the streak with her third goal of the afternoon; this one came unassisted at 13:06, 10-3. Eaby followed at 11:15 with the Griffins fourth goal, 10-4, but with time running thin and two more Golden Bear goals the Griffins were left on the short end of a 12-4 final.
Schwar totaled three goals and an assist to go with four ground ball recoveries. She was supported by three-point performances from junior attack Gina Carmina (Flanders, NJ) and freshman attack Jillian Spencer (Sewell, NJ). Carmina provided three goals off the bench while Spencer recorded a ground ball and three draws in addition to her two goals and an assist. Six other Golden Bears recorded a point apiece. In goal, sophomore JoAnn McLaughlin (Cape May, NJ) totaled ten saves, a ground ball, and a caused turnover for the win (3-2).

Jenn Delahanty (Staten Island, NY) slow the Golden Bears. Campbell finished with five ground balls, three caused turnovers, and a draw control. Delahanty was a wall in the first half with 11 saves. She finished with 14 saves while also recording two ground balls and causing a turnover in the loss (0-4).
The women's lacrosse team returns to Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) with a 1:00 p.m. contest at Post University on Saturday, March 24.
