Box Score Philadelphia, Pa. - (11/6/2013) – For the first time in program history Chestnut Hill College was the victors in a meeting with local Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) rival Holy Family University. The Griffins dominated the match, dispatching the Tigers 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 27-25) behind 16 kills from senior outside hitter
Alexandra DePalma (Shillington, Pa.) and a united effort.
Following annual Senior Night recognition, Chestnut Hill College (9-20, 7-11) did their graduate class proud by impressing the Sorgenti Arena crowd with swift victory over Holy Family University (14-14, 10-8). The Griffins stayed a couple points behind the Tigers for a majority of the match, 18-17, before rallying for a 25-22 opening set victory, 1-0. The second set started the same way, but the Griffins came on early this time, knotting the score at 12-12 before pacing the Tigers to a 25-19 final, 2-0. The third set was never separated by more than two points until the visitors managed to steal a 22-19 advantage late in the frame. Fortunately, the Griffin defense was clutch with two timely blocks spurring the Griffins on an 8-3 closing run, 3-0.
Sophomore outside hitter Emma Herring (Newtown, Conn.) was the Tigers top striker with ten kills, three aces, 12 digs, and two blocks. Senior setter Chelsea Keegan (Bucyrus, Ohio) provided 29 assists while sophomore outside hitter Charlotte Sabatano (Frederick, Md.) helped Herring on both sides of the net with five kills, an ace, and 11 digs.
DePalma was a machine in her final home match, issuing six kills in the opening set and a team-high 16 in the match. Freshman outside hitter
Madison McBride (Long Beach, Calif.) helped with another ten kills off the 31 assists the Griffins received from freshman setter

Regina Trabosh (Norristown, Pa.) captained an impressive Griffin defense that limited the visitors to a .072 (33K-23E-138TA) hitting percentage and in turn surpassed the Griffins single-season dig mark (613) with 19 digs in the contest. Senior middle blocker
Mary Markowski (Parkton, Md.) contributed six blocks to the defensive front, which also enjoyed completed double-doubles from DePalma (15 digs) and McBride (13 digs).
