Box Score Newtown, Conn. – (3/23/2013) – Senior midfielder Erica Eaby (Lancaster, Pa.) played hero for Chestnut Hill College, as she scored the Griffins last two goals in a 12-11, double-overtime, Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory over Post University. The Griffins scored the affair's first three games before trading goals with the Eagles to a 6-5 halftime lead. Unfortunately, the Eagles outscored the Griffins 5-4 in the second half to force the extra frame, 10-10.

After Chestnut Hill College's (1-5, 1-2) 3-0 opening run, fueled by sophomore midfielder Briana Addison (Garnet Valley, Pa.) and senior midfielder Brianne Timony (Allentown, N.J.), Post University (0-5, 0-2) got back into the contest with unassisted goals from senior attack Morgan Kanavy (Syracuse, N.Y.), 3-1 at 16:10, and Miranda Polaski (Agawam, Mass.), 3-2 at 13:06. From there, the opponents traded goals until the contest settled on a 5-5 tie with 2:45 remaining in the period. The stalemate, however, lasted only seconds as junior attack Kelly Campbell (Hatboro, Pa.) gave the Griffins on a 6-5 halftime edge with 2:29 left on the clock.

The Eagles made the most of their second half opportunities as they scored on five of their nine shots with junior attack Meghan Diggett (East Islip, N.Y.) providing the final goal of regulation at 7:30, 10-10. Sophomore midfielder Eryka Baez (Clifton, N.J.) looked to deliver the win for the Eagles with her goal at 3:08 of the first overtime, 11-10. Fortunately, Eaby scored her first goal forty second later (2:28) to knot the contest for another extra frame, 11-11. Just 29 second into the second overtime, Eaby struck again and that one held on as the game-winner in the Griffins 12-11 double overtime victory.

Polaski top the Eagles top performer with four goals, three assists, two ground balls, and two caused turnovers in the affair. She was supported by three goals, five ground balls, and three draws from Baez, as well as, Diggett's two goals, ground ball, and four draws. Sophomore goalkeeper Kathy Walker (Dorchester, Mass.) totaled 16 saves in the loss (0-5).

Timony's four goals, an assist, a ground ball, and three draws headlined the Griffins winning effort. Eaby, Campbell, and Addison each scored twice, while providing additional contributions. Eaby recorded four ground balls, four draws, and two caused turnovers. Campbell provided an assist, seven ground balls, and three draws in addition to her scores. And Addison hustled to two ground balls and one draw control. Freshman midfielder Emorie Keimig (Freeland, Md.) and junior attack Kelsey Moran (Herndon, Va.) contributed the other two Griffin tallies. In goal, senior Jennifer Delahanty (Staten Island, N.Y.) recorded ten saves for the victory (1-5).
