Box Score Philadelphia, Pa. – (4/17/2013) – The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) season continued for the Chestnut Hill College women's lacrosse team today as the Griffins trveled to Holy Family University, to endure a 20-4 defeat at the hands of the Tigers. Senior defender Lindsay Alexander (Huntingdon Valley, Pa.) was the Griffins top performer, finishing the contest with two goals, five ground balls, three draws, and two caused turnovers.

Feeling comfortable on their home field, Holy Family University (10-5, 7-2) built a 6-0 advantage in the opening 12 minutes. Senior midfielder Stephanie McNesby (Philadelphia, Pa.) ignited the Tiger offense, scoring the second goal of the contest at 27:34, 2-0, and scoring again at 21:47, 4-0, before providing the assist to junior midfielder Marissa Lawson (York, Pa.) on the sixth goal of the Tiger's opening run, 6-0. Senior attack Megan Shaughnessy (Mullica Hill, Pa.) interrupted the Tigers with an unassisted score at 16:01, 6-1, but it would be the only Griffin goal in the first half as the home team extended their lead to 14-1 by the break.

After intermission, freshman midfielder Emorie Keimig (Freeland, Md.) looked to rally Chestnut Hill College (2-11, 2-7) by depositing the first goal of the second half, off the feed from senior attack Christina Squillante (Kings Park, N.Y.), just 49 seconds (29:11) into the closing frame, 14-2. Unfortunately, the Tigers denied the recovery, outscoring the Griffins 6-2 the rest of the way, 20-4.

McNesby's six points, five goals and an assist, led the Tigers offensive production. She also recorded four ground balls, five draws, and two caused turnovers. Sophomore attack Christina Bonomo (Ephrata, Pa.) provided four goals off the bench, while five other Tigers provided multi-point performances. In goal, freshman Grace Deckert (Jarrettsville, Md.) totaled four saves and three ground balls in the win (10-5)

Alexander's effort was supported by four ground balls and two caused turnovers from junior defender KarlaAne Klouda (Belvidere, N.J.), and the offensive contributions from Shaughnessy, Keimig, and Squillante. Freshman goalkeeper freshman Danielle Owen (Glenolden, Pa.) recorded 14 saves in the loss (0-4).
