Kelly Campbell (Hatboro, Pa.) started the Griffins off, 2-0, senior midfielder
Erica Eaby (Lancaster, Pa.) kept them ahead at halftime, 4-3, and senior attack
Brianne Timony (Allentown, N.J.) forced overtime and secured the win in an inspired team effort.

Emorie Keimig (Freeland, Md.) followed Campbell's two goals with one of her own to give Chestnut Hill College (4-12) a 3-0 advantage with 21:43 remaining in the first half. The University of Bridgeport (5-7) finally answered midway through the frame, when they netted three goals in a row, the second two by sophomore midfielder Katie King (Paxton, Mass.), to tie the contest, 3-3, with just over five minutes to play (5:17). Luckily for the Griffins, that's when Eaby made her presence known, scoring with 50 seconds (0:50) left in the period to give the Griffins a 4-3 halftime edge and again at 21:10 of the second half to extend the advantage, 5-3. Unfortunately, the Purple Knights dominated the next ten minutes, building an 8-6 lead behind the play of sophomore midfielder Gabrielle Valela (Lidenhurst, N.Y.) and freshman attack Allie Wiggins (Waterford, Conn.). But, clutch free position goals from senior attack
Christina Squillante (Kings Park, N.Y.), 8-7 at 4:38, and Timony, 8-8 at 0:55, allowed the Griffins to extend play for six more minutes. In the extra frame, the Griffins grabbed a quick edge thanks to Timony's aggressive pursuit of victory. She scored unassisted at 5:04, 9-8, and on a free position opportunity at 4:20, 10-8, to facilitate the Griffins triumph, 10-9.
King and Valela each recorded three goals to headline the Purple Knights production; Valela additionally added two ground balls, three draws, and two caused turnovers as their top performer. Wiggins also finished with three points, scoring the game final goal in addition to her first-half assists. Graduate goalkeeper Marissa Gambardella (West Haven, Conn.) recorded six saves and five ground balls in the loss (5-5)
Timony added three ground balls and a draw to her four-goal game. Eaby and Campbell both contributed in addition to their two-goal performances; Eaby recording four ground balls, four draws, and four caused turnovers while Campbell offered one of each. Both goalkeepers, freshman
Danielle Owen (Glenolden, Pa.) and senior
Jennifer Delahanty (Staten Island, N.Y.) provided valuable minutes in net. Owen got the start and totaled six saves in a redeeming win (2-4).
The women's lacrosse team concludes their 2013 season on Thursday, April 25, with a 4:00 p.m. contest at Kutztown University.
