Box Score Lafayette Hill, Pa. – (4/3/2013) – Today's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC)
women's lacrosse contest at Victory Field #1 turned into a tale of two halves as a competitive first half gave way to Holy Family University's 13-8 victory over Chestnut Hill College. The Griffins matched the Tigers goal-for-goal early and held a 7-5 lead with three minutes remaining in the first half, but a slower paced second half favored the visitors for a 5-1 reversal. Senior midfielder Brianne Timony (Allentown, N.J.) led the Griffins with three goals, three ground balls, a draw, and a caused turnover; the third goal was the 100th of her collegiate career.

In the faster paced first half, Timony led Chestnut Hill College (2-7, 2-3) from a two-goal deficit, 2-0, to a two-goal advantage, 7-5, with 3:11 remaining. Holy Family University (6-4, 3-1) scored the first two tallies of the affair and forced the Griffins into their first timeout at 19:38. Coach Rosiek's pep-talk sparked a 7-3 run with back-to-back Timony goals at 19:23, 2-1, and 15:49, 2-2, two scores from senior defender Lindsay Alexander (Huntingdon Valley, Pa.) and a goal apiece from junior attack Kelly Campbell (Hatboro, Pa.) and senior attack Christina Squillante (Kings Park, N.Y.).

Senior midfielder Stephanie McNesby (Philadelphia, Pa.) was the answer for the Tigers. She scored at 2:17, 7-6, and tied the contest at 1:19, 7-7, before junior attack Brigit LaRose (Lumberton, N.J.) gave the Tigers a one-goal halftime edge with a tally at 0:32, 8-7. The Tigers carried the momentum into the second half where after an exchange of scores, 9-8, the visitors held the Griffins scoreless for the final 27:16.

McNesby and LaRose led the Tigers with three goals apiece. Sophomore midfielder Brianna Lancetta (Marlton, N.J.) and freshman midfielder Paige Settar provided key contributions as well. Both scored a goal, Lancetta added three ground balls, three draws, and two caused turnovers, while Settar also recorded four ground balls, a draw, and three caused turnovers. Freshman goalkeeper Grace Deckert (Jarrettsville, Md.) earned the win (6-4) with six saves and two ground balls.

Timony's milestone performance was complimented by quality efforts from Alexander, Squillante, Campbell, and senior midfielder Erica Eaby (Lancaster, Pa.). Alexander added a ground ball, two draws, and two caused turnovers to her two tallies. Squillante finished with two goals. Campbell offered two ground balls, a draw, and a caused turnover to her score, while Eaby provided the Griffins only assist in addition to two ground balls and a draw. Senior goalkeeper Jennifer Delahanty (Staten Island, N.Y.) made 12 saves, recovered a ground ball, and caused a turnover in the loss (2-7).
