Box Score Philadelphia, Pa. – (1/8/2014) – With a controlling first-half effort, University of Sciences (USciences) ruled both ends of the floor in tonight's 60-36 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) win over Chestnut Hill College. Three Devils finished in double figures while junior forward Isabella Ross (Philadelphia, Pa.) headlined a 47-32 rebounding edge with 16 boards. Junior guard
Tenisha Townsend-Mobley (Pleasantville, N.J.) and
Olivia Gorczynski (Parlin, N.J.) led the Griffins with ten points apiece.
USciences (11-3, 6-1 CACC) wasted no time seizing the upper hand as they raced to a 12-point lead, 12-0, before Townsend-Mobley put Chestnut Hill College (2-11, 0-7 CACC) on the scoreboard with a free throw at 14:53, 12-1. The Griffins managed to cut the Devils advantage to seven points, 15-8, midway through the period (10:11), but the margin would grow to 21 points by halftime, 39-18, with the visitors shooting 46.9% (15-fo-32) from the floor and 44.4% (8-of-18) from beyond the three-point arc. The Griffins limited the Devils to 18 points in the second half, but they we unable to erase the deficit in a 24-point defeat.
Ross added two assists, two steals, and a block to her dominating rebounding effort. Junior guard Jessica Sylvester (Trevose, Pa.), junior forward Brianne Traub (Wayne, N.J.), and freshman forward Camille McPherson (West Orange, N.J.) finished with 16, 15, and ten points respectively.

The women's basketball team will head to Georgian Court University on Saturday January 11
th, to continue their CACC schedule with a 1:00 p.m. contest against the Lions.
