Senior attack Margaret Sharp (Suffern, N.Y.) and junior midfielder Kellie Kucinski (Roxbury, N.J.) led STAC's (6-2) opening run that left the home team with an 8-0 lead at 10:22. Chestnut Hill College (0-8) interrupted the streak with sophomore midfielder
Emorie Keimig (Freeland, Md.) scoring an unassisted goal midway through the first half, 8-1 (10:01). Unfortunately, three more Spartans tallies would come before the next Griffin goal which again came from Keimig, who scored the last goal of the half on a free position attempt at 2:22, 11-2. Jacklyn O'Leary (East Meadow, N.Y.) joined in the action in the second half, but their six tallies were not enough catch the Spartans, who scored eight goals en route to their 19-8 win.
Sharp totaled ten points for the Spartans; providing five goals and five assists along with a ground ball, and a draw control. Kucinski and two others recorded four goals while in goal, sophomore Kaitlyn Lonergan (Stony Point, N.Y.) made 12 saves an collected a ground ball in the win (6-2).
Herbert added a ground ball, two draws, and a caused turnover to her hat trick. Keimig provided a ground ball and six draws in addition to her two first-half tallies.
