Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Philadelphia, Pa. – (4/26/2014) – After being recognized in annual Senior Day festivities, senior first baseman Giana Cavallo (Turnersville, N.J.) made Chestnut Hill College history with the 114^th hit of her collegiate career. Cavallo tied the program's all-time hit mark in the first game of the afternoon with a third-inning homerun to right center, but the Caldwell College would come away as the victors in six innings, 12-3. The record-setter came in game two, where a second-inning single to left field giving the Griffins a celebratory moment in a 10-2, five-inning Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) loss.
 
Caldwell College (38-4, 22-1) scored three runs in both of their first two chances at-bat, 6-0. Cavallo's third-inning, two-run homerun and two fourth-inning singles got Chestnut Hill College (6-28, 6-20) back into the fray, 7-3, but the Cougars added two runs in the fifth inning and three in the sixth inning to end the first game an inning early, 12-3.
 
The second contest only went five innings with the Cougars scoring three runs in the first inning and seven more late in opposition to a two-run homerun from sophomore shortstop Emily Soller (Bel Air, Md.). In the Griffin half of the fourth inning, a lead-off single from sophomore second baseman Julie Heaton (Berlin, N.J.) turned into two Griffin runs with a two-out homerun from Soller. Unfortunately, the long ball only made the score 6-2 and did not slow the Cougars in a 10-2 win.
 
The softball team finishes the 2014 season 6-28 overall and 6-20 in the CACC.
