Box Score Philadelphia, Pa. - (2/24/2015) – The Chestnut Hill College women's basketball team never gained a foothold in tonight's season finale against Holy Family University. The visiting Tigers jumped out to a 10-0 lead and never looked back, separating themselves for a 71-60 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) victory that kept them perfect in 16 meetings since the Griffins joined National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II in 2007. Seniors
Tiffany Turner (Marlton, N.J.) and
Shayla Felder (Cheltenham, Pa.) produced 17 points apiece in their final collegiate games, with Turner adding 10 rebounds for her 11
th double-double in 18 career appearances on the Hill.
Holy Family University (17-10, 14-5) scored the game's first 10 points and led 12-1 at the 15:19 mark before Chestnut Hill College (10-16, 8-11) could react. The home side came to life to some extent, cutting the Tiger advantage to 20-14 on two free throws by Turner (9:32), but Holy Family University unleashed a succeeding 22-5 burst over the next 7:39. The Tigers locked down on defense and were automatic from the foul line, making all 12 of their free throws in the first half. The last two provided a 42-19 margin just inside the two-minute mark (1:53) of the frame.
After going into the locker room down 42-22, the Griffins rallied with the first six points of the second half on consecutive layups by Turner, sophomore forward
Lauren Milligan (Gosport, England), and senior guard
Tenisha Townsend-Mobley (Pleasantville, N.J.), 42-28 (18:17). From there, the margin fluctuated between 13 and 18 points until Felder kicked off a 7-0 run with a three-point play and jump shot. The spurt ended when Turner knifed inside for a basket to cut the deficit to single digits, 65-56 (1:11). Unfortunately, Chestnut Hill College could get no closer than nine as the Tigers left Sorgenti Arena with an 11-point triumph, 71-60.
Despite an inferior shooting performance (23-of-66, 34.8% - 22-of-59, 37.3%), Holy Family University was never threatened thanks to a 48-36 advantage on the glass and pinpoint accuracy from the charity stripe (20-of-22, 90.9%). Junior center Kasey Woetzel (Wyckoff, N.J.) paved the way with a 19-point, seven-rebound effort, while senior forward Sarah Pawlak (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) wound up with 16 points on a perfect 8-of-8 from the line. Freshman guard Kylie Giedemann (Turnersville, N.J.) had 11 points, while sophomore guard Jill Conroy (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and junior guard Erin Fenningham (Philadelphia, Pa.) added nine points apiece, with Fennigham collecting nine boards. Holy Family University finished third in the CACC South Division and will meet North Division runner-up Bloomfield College in the CACC Tournament.

Nicole Parriski (Burlington, N.J.) grabbed eight caroms for the Griffins, who held the Tigers to 27.8% (10-of-36) from the field after halftime.
