Box Score Lafayette Hill, Pa. - (3/28/2015) – Capitalizing on a litany of free position opportunities, the Chestnut Hill College women's lacrosse team rolled by visiting Caldwell University, 17-8, for their first Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) triumph of the season. Sophomore midfielders
Jacklyn O'Leary (East Meadow, N.Y.) and
Rachel Perry (Gilbertsville, Pa.) poured in four goals apiece for the Griffins, who remained unbeaten at home (3-0) and converted nine times from the eight-meter arc en route to their highest-scoring game of 2015.
Caldwell University (2-4, 1-2) connected for the opening salvo just shy of the 25-minute mark (25:07) of the first half, with sophomore midfielder Christina Gonzalez's marker giving the Cougars an early 1-0 lead. The Griffins took the lead for good just 31 seconds later, as sophomore midfielder
Lea Sanders (North Merrick, N.Y.) finished a feed from freshman midfielder

That spurred the hosts on a 9-1 spurt spanning halftime, as O'Leary scored a goal of her own followed by consecutive tallies from Galantich, 6-2 (13:35). The Cougars pulled one back, but it was only a brief respite from the Chestnut Hill College onslaught, as the home side garnered the game's next five goals, four of them on free positions; by the time freshman midfielder
Erica McLaughlin (Magnolia, N.J.) deposited the last, the Griffins led 11-3 at the 26:12 mark of the second half. Caldwell University scored three times unanswered to close the gap to 11-6, but Perry facilitated another five-goal Griffin run with a pair of markers, with Sanders cashing in at the 2:59 mark and bringing the mercy rule into effect at 16-6. Perry added another tally for good measure, sandwiched between two by the Cougars, to bring the final nine-goal verdict, 17-8.

Perry (3-for-3) and O'Leary (2-for-2) combined to score on all five of their free position attempts for Chestnut Hill College, which logged a 34-22 shot advantage and snapped a four-game losing streak. Galantich turned in her second straight two-goal effort; this time it came with two helpers for a career-best four points. McClaughlin and Sanders matched Galantich with a pair of tallies, with the latter contributing three caused turnovers. Sophomore attack
