The Griffins swept doubles play with moderate competition before only slipping up at number two singles, where the Bears claimed their only point in vain on a 6-4, 3-6, 10-4 final.

Pedro Festugato Regalin (Caxias do Sul, Brazil) and
Lucas Bocaletto (Itatiba, Brazil) secured the first point of the afternoon for Chestnut Hill College (9-5, 3-0) at number two doubles, 8-1 (1-0). The combo of sophomore
Jonathan Ducretot (Antibes, France) and freshman
Pierre Kohler (Les Sables d'Olonne, France) followed with an 8-2 victory at number one doubles, 2-0, before seniors
Henry Boyle (London, England) and
Kevin Taylor (Burlington, N.J.) teamed up for a 8-4 win at number three doubles, 3-0.
The match was clinched early in singles play with freshmen
Lucas Abe (Duderstadt, Germany) and Boyle winning their respective matches at number four, 6-1, 6-0, and number five, 6-1, 6-2, singles, 5-0. The Griffins made it 6-0 on Kohler's 6-1, 6-2, win at number one singles and advanced it to 8-0 with a number six singles win from Taylor, 6-1, 6-0, and a number three singles win from freshman
Adam Gavin (Gothenburg, Sweden), 6-1, 6-0. Bloomfield College (0-7, 0-3) broke up the shutout with a 6-4, 3-6, 10-4 marathon win at number two singles, 8-1.
The Chestnut Hill College men's tennis team continue a busy CACC schedule tomorrow, Thursday, April 14, when they visit Caldwell University of a 3:30 p.m. match.
