Sophomores, Lucas Bocaletto (Itatiba, Brazil) and Pedro Festugato Regalin (Caxias do Sul, Brazil) earned the Griffins their first point of the match with their 8-4 win at number two singles, 1-0. Queens College (10-5) reciprocated with an 8-3 win at number two doubles, 1-1, but the round ended in the Griffins favor after an 8-5 number one doubles win from freshman Pierre Kohler (Les Sables d'Olonne, France) and sophomore Jonathan Ducretot (Antibes, France), 2-1. The Knights then tied the match (2-2) with their win at number one singles, 6-3, 6-2, only for the Griffins to respond with Kohler and freshman Adam Gavin (Gothenburg, Sweden) winning their respective challenges at number two, 6-3, 6-1, and number three singles, 6-0, 7-5, to regain a 4-2 advantage. A 6-2, 6-0, Knight win at number five singles reduced the Scarlet and Gold advantage to one, 4-3, but today Ducretot delivered the game-winner with his 6-4, 6-4, win at number four singles, 5-3. Senior Henry Boyle (London, England) won the remaining point at number six singles, 2-6, 6-3, 10-8.
