Griffins Stay Perfect for CACC Conflict with Clippers

Box Score | Waterbury, Conn. - (4/16/2016) – Chestnut Hill College continued their recent peak and remained perfect in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) with today's 8-1 win at Post University. After sweeping doubles play, the Scarlet and Gold only surrendered a number one singles point due to injury before running off five straight singles points.
 
Chestnut Hill College (12-5, 5-0) earned their first point at number one doubles, where junior Jonathan Ducretot (Antibes, France) and freshman Pierre Kohler (Les Sables d'Olonne, France) combined for an 8-4 victory, 1-0. Seniors, Kevin Taylor (Burlington, N.J.) and senior Henry Boyle (London, England) followed with their matching 8-4 win at number three doubles, 2-0. And concluding the round, sophomores, Lucas Bocaletto (Itatiba, Brazil) and sophomore Pedro Festugato Regalin (Caxias do Sul, Brazil) scored an 8-5 win at number two doubles, 3-0.
 
Bocaletto was forced into retirement after losing the first set of the number one singles match, 6-2. After that the Griffins rattled off victories at number five singles (6-2, 6-0), number two singles (6-3, 6-1), number three singles (6-0, 6-2), number six singles (6-1, 6-3), and number four singles (6-2, 6-2). Freshman Lucas Abe (Duderstadt, Germany) won the first match of the run. The remaining points came from Kohler, freshman Adam Gavin (Gothenburg, Sweden), Taylor, and Ducretot, respectively.
 
The Griffins conclude their CACC schedule on Monday, April 18, when they visit Concordia College (NY) for a 3:00 p.m. contest.
