Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Millersville, Pa. – (4/21/2016) – Chestnut Hill College continued their season this evening with a non-conference doubleheader at Millersville University. Freshman shortstop Lily Winn (Los Angeles, Calif.) recorded two hits and scored the Griffins' only run of the opener, 12-1 (5), while four recorded a hit in game two, but only senior Megan Kehr (Exton, Pa.) knocked in a run with her seventh-inning fielder's choice, 3-1.
 
Chestnut Hill College (11-39) scored in their very first at-bat of the twin bill, using a lead-off Winn single and a two-out Millersville University (26-16) error, 1-0. But four Marauder runs in the bottom of the first inning and eight more in the second was enough to end the opener in five innings, 12-1. Freshman first baseman Alex Sauer (New Milford, N.J.) recorded the other Griffin hit with her second-inning double.
 
Game two was more competitive with freshman Hunter Irvin (Egg Harbor Township, N.J.) keeping Chestnut Hill College close for the full seven frames. The Marauders gradually established a 3-0 advantage one run at a time with a second-inning inside-the-park home run, three third-inning hits, and a sixth-inning sacrifice fly. Irvin's only run support came in the seventh inning with a pinch-hint double from senior Julie Heaton (Berlin, N.J.) was followed by a pinch-hit single from senior Sofia Cedrone (Philadelphia, Pa.) and Kehr's run-scoring grounder to second base. In addition to Heaton and Cedrone, sophomore left fielder Jaden Perrillo (Shickshinny, Pa.) and senior designated player Laura Eidam (South Salem, N.Y.) recorded hits. Irvin held the Marauders to three runs on nine hits in the loss (0-6).
 
The Chestnut Hill College softball team returns home to host Nyack College in a 12:00 p.m. Senior Day Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) doubleheader on Saturday, April 23.
